Stephen Knuckey

The Stride is excited to welcome Stephen Knuckey who is an Australian 800m runner. Stephen is stable mate of Joseph Deng and Peter Bol and coached by Justin Rinaldi out of the highly regarded #fast8trackclub in Melbourne Australia.

In August 2017, Stephen competed in the 800m for Australia at the World University Games in Taipei. Originally ranked 11th going into the competition, he progressed through the heat, semi and into the final to finish 6th overall in a time of 1:47.23.

As Stephen described “It was without a doubt an awesome taste of what it is like to put on the famous green and gold tracksuit and it has left me hungry to be competitive and earn more opportunities in the future.”

Having the opportunity to work with the team at The Stride I believe I will have the opportunity to be the best athlete I can be. I’m thoroughly excited to start working closely with the team to focus on the areas that they see as an opportunity to stay injury free, improve on my weaknesses, and develop areas of my training to go one better in the next phase of my career.

I firmly believe that building a team who understands the ambitions and goals you want to achieve will lead to success.
